For Cardiac Camp, having a dedicated “home base” for our camp counselors is essential to ensuring a smooth and safe experience for all participants. This space serves as a central hub where counselors can manage important tasks, keep necessary supplies on hand, and coordinate effectively with each other throughout the day. A designated area helps them recharge so they can continue to provide the best support to the campers. Additionally, in case of any medical or urgent situation, having a central base allows counselors to quickly regroup and ensure that necessary resources (first aid kits, contact info, etc.) are available to address any immediate concerns. Lastly, a home base fosters a collaborative space for counselors to debrief, plan for upcoming activities, and share feedback. Working together in a designated area allows for smoother coordination and teamwork throughout the camp.
