Info session for prospective student volunteers with our collaborators from DPH.

Are you passionate about homelessness, housing injustice, and working with marginalized populations?

Companion Care is a UCSF partnership with the San Francisco Department of Public Health in which students accompany and advocate for patients living in permanent subsidized housing or the shelter system through their medical appointments. Volunteering with Companion Care is a great opportunity to fill an often unrecognized need for patients living with housing insecurity: getting to and from their medical appointments and navigating the confusing world of healthcare.

We provide all of the training and resources you need to accompany patients in an informed, compassionate, and safe manner. Accompaniments can occur as frequently or infrequently as your schedule allows.
