FAMSA Pre-Med Outreach Day

FAMSA plans to host pre-medical student volunteers from the Mabuhay Health Center and undergraduates from local colleges and universities at UCSF. Activities will include panels with FAMSA medical students sharing their pathway to medical school and experiences thus far, clinical skills sessions (learning point-of-care ultrasound POCUS and clinical skills such as listening to heart and lung sounds), and other mentorship activities. FAMSA is aiming to provide a fun glimpse into medicine for Filipinx-identifying undergraduate students and pre-meds, who are an underrepresented group in medicine and would benefit from shared spaces such as this, and allies.
