Mission
Jewish Voice for Peace's mission is to organize Jewish people and allies in the U.S. to work in solidarity in the struggle for Palestinian freedom. As the staff and faculty chapter of JVP at UCSF, we will partner with the student chapter of JVP at UCSF, JVP-Bay Area, and JVP National as well as our sibling organization FSJP at UCSF to engage in outreach and education for Jewish and non-Jewish members of the UCSF community alike. We will host Jewish ritual events, such as Shabbat dinners, and sponsor discussions where we can engage in dialogue and form coalitions in support of Palestinians. JVP is a grassroots, multiracial, cross-class, intergenerational movement of U.S. Jews and allies in solidarity with Palestinians, guided by a vision of justice, equality, and dignity for all people.
