In the second event of the RCO “White Coat Cinema,” students will discuss the movie It Was Just an Accident. The film follows a group of former Iranian political prisoners who grapple with the question of whether to seek revenge on a man they believe may have been their tormentor. The movie sheds light on political dissent under tyranny and its far-reaching consequences, while exploring themes of courage, revenge, and honor from perspectives rarely represented in Western media. The event will take place from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM, and students are expected to have watched the movie in advance to prepare for the discussion. Our goal is to bring together students with diverse experiences to foster a richer, more thoughtful conversation.
