ENVISION is a career exploration internship program in partnership with UCSF Department of Neurosurgery and the non-profit organization Oasis for Girls to expose high school girls of color, ages 14-18, from under-served communities in SF to careers in the medical / health sciences field and to help them build critical professional skills to enrich their future. At Blood Pressure Workshop and Mental Health Awareness, volunteer participants will be able to teach high school students the importance of both physical and mental health awareness, especially in the context of health disparities that may be affecting them. Volunteer participants will educate and train students on how to perform vital signs at their homes and how to practice mental health awareness.
