About Us

The Emergency Medicine Interest Group at UCSF (EMIG) is a student-run group that promotes and explores the field of Emergency Medicine. The goal of EMIG is to promote awareness of all aspects of Emergency Medicine and to provide educational opportunities for medical, nursing, pharmacy, and physical therapy students interested in Emergency Medicine. EMIG organizes an introduction to emergency medicine elective, a procedure workshop, an annual EMIG symposium, a wilderness medicine elective, outreach programs to the community, and a speaker series with experts in emergency medicine. Events are open to students of all schools at UCSF.
