About Us

Heart & Art hopes to add midwifery spirit back into the program through quarterly gatherings that build a nurturing community of midwifery students. Circles are intended to expose students to concepts in midwifery care that are not covered in the standard CNM coursework at UCSF. It is our hope to invite a midwife to come speak each quarter to expand student's understanding of midwifery and foster community amongst midwifery students, faculty, and the greater midwifery community. The gatherings include story sharing and discussions about the culture and context of midwifery today.
