Passing the Scalpel symbolizes the transfer of knowledge from one generation of surgeons to the next. The pursuit of education should be life long. By bringing together students of surgery from various stages of training in the dental and medical fields, a brotherhood in which knowledge and wisdom are freely exchanged will benefit all who take part.
