Mission
Our goal is to develop a street nursing practice, and to provide educational opportunities for students of all specialties to learn about caring for those experiencing homelessness in this particular setting (similar concept to street medicine, but based in a nursing framework). We plan to have events with guest speakers who have developed street medicine programs across the country, and to support students in volunteering with street medicine programs in SF and Oakland. We will host seminars on evidence based practice, liability, and quality improvement (and hopefully more!). We'd also like to hold a supply drive and collect useful things such as socks and hygiene kit supplies.
