Mission
The Academy of General Dentistry Chapter at UCSF has information and resources specific to the needs of dental students who are interested in exploring the scope of general dentistry. Other allied dental organizations like the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of Laser Dentistry, and Academy of Implant Dentistry look to the AGD for leadership in issues affecting the general dentistry community. The AGD is the primary community of interest invited for input to the ADA on issues affecting the general dentists. The AGD provides dental students with various activities and resources, such as education development, mentor program, career assistance, practice management tools, and award and recognition.

The Academy of Sleep Medicine and Dentistry (ASMD) is dedicated to bringing attention and consideration to the science of sleep medicine across the various professional disciplines at UCSF and campuses worldwide. In addition to hearing renowned guest speakers, students will also have the chance to collaborate on the development of a sleep medicine elective, and will additionally share their findings on pertinent sleep research. Above all, ASMD strives to educate students about common sleep disorders through the research and presentation of meta-analyses and to support leaders who can use their academic training and specialties to craft innovative solutions for the future of sleep medicine.

The American Dental Education Association (ADEA) Student Chapter at the UCSF School of Dentistry strives to promote excellence in all aspects of dental education. We aim to address the need for dental educators, to encourage the pursuit of careers in academia and research, to further post-graduation education /specialty programs, to outreach, mentor and recruit under-represented students into dentistry and to promote oral health.
Local activities include:
1) Seniors Brush Up. ADEA provides dental screenings, oral health care education to the elderly population.
2) Impressions Conference. Pre-dental undergrads come to UCSF for speakers, dental demos, mock-interviews, personal statement reviews and mentorship.
3) High School Outreach Conference (HSOC). Interprofessional health care conference. Over 300 high school students from diverse/ low-income areas come to UCSF. We aim to expose students to careers in health care.
4) "What Matters To Me Most and Why" Lunch and Learn series where dental faculty speak about why they chose to enter into academia
5) Faciltate UCSF's Academic Dental Careers Fellowship Program (ADCFP) which provides structured mentoring to dental students as they take on an academia related research project.

The American Student Dental Association is a national student-run organization that protects and advances the rights, interests, and welfare of students pursuing careers in dentistry. A collaboration among faculty, residents, students, and volunteers, Children's Night Clinic serves to educate the primary caregiver and kids on oral health, as well as inform the primary caregiver about insurance and motivate a transition to obtain DentiCal, ultimately securing a dental home for their children.
CNC is guided by three mutually supportive sets of aspirations:
For the patients
To provide oral health education and insurance counseling. To achieve a positive impact on the lives of our community.

We propose the UCSF Endodontic Skill Advancement Group based on UCSF School of Dentistry students' interest in the field of Endodontic. The club will develop and help facilitate students' understanding in both the academic and clinical field of Endodontic. Student members will have an opportunity to join our bi-weekly Saturday practice session. The clinical study session allows the members to practice endodontic procedure on sterilized extracted tooth with the guidance of IDP student Wendy Liang who had 5+ years of practicing experience in general dentistry and 300 + cases of root canal procedure. We will also provide Journal study session that present novel scientific articles related to the latest clinical applications/leading procedures of endodontic published by the AAE.
The field of Endodontics is a specialty that heavily emphasized in experience of treatment planning and clinical practice; hence it often requires residents to have general practice experience prior to obtaining their certificate. As a pre-doctoral student Endodontic Skill Advancement Group will serve as an excellent channel to prepare students who are interested in pursuing the field of endodontic to further advance their understanding of the field and practicing hand-on skill on natural teeth.

Mission
Summer Science Camp was established by UCSF School of Pharmacy student Heather Hertema in 2007 to excite, motivate, and inspire youth, especially those who are underrepresented and underserved in natural and health sciences, to pursue the natural and health sciences both in college and as a career. Each year, the camp affords up to 55 underrepresented minority students the opportunity to experience hands-on, inquiry-based science. The camp also promotes positive interaction with professional students, campus scientists, and health professionals who serve as role models.

The Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD) in Pediatrics Society at UCSF School of Dentistry is committed to advancing knowledge, awareness, and patient care in the fields of TMD and pediatrics. Our mission is to provide a platform for dental students who share a passion for these specialized areas to collaborate, learn, and grow. Through interdisciplinary education, research, and community engagement, we aim to equip our members with the skills and insights necessary to address the complex challenges presented within the intersection of TMD and pediatric dentistry.

The Uniformed Dental Corps (UDC) is a cross-branch military dental organization catered towards dental students, professionals, veterans, and supporters committed to furthering the mission of the armed forces. Our purpose is to promote wellness and readiness for service as well as instill military culture in our members. We plan to provide mentorship and networking opportunities with current uniformed service members as well as outreach with veterans.

In 1889 at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, five freshmen decided to form a fraternity to place their "friendship on a more firm and lasting basis." Since that time our numbers have grown to more than 20,000 and ZIPs are represented on 18 campuses in the United States and Canada. We truly are an International Professional Fraternity. The ZIPs are well known for their College and Alumni Chapter functions and community involvement to promote dental health and goodwill. Our Fraternity has progressed for more than 120 years because of its high ideals and worthy purposes to give each member a richer life and by living up to its simple motto: "Hospitality is the Life of Friendship."
