Mission
The Latine Physical Therapy Student Association (LPTSA) is a student-led initiative that strives to unite folks who are interested in improving physical therapy access and delivery to the Latine population. We provide student physical therapists with guidance on how to treat the Latine population, education to promote cultural awareness, and resources that can be used to advocate for the profession. We also aim to provide mentorship and social support to Latine-identifying folks pursuing PT. We frequently partner with Chicanos/Latinos in Health Education (CHE), an interdisciplinary organization at UCSF, to work towards these goals.
