About Us
The “Bugs, Drugs, & Beyond” Infectious Disease Interest Group at UCSF will serve the professional and graduate student community through the following objectives. (1) Enhancing exposure to ID topics via a lecture series, mentorship, and networking events. (2) Host our annual fall ID elective for course credit. (3) Formulating a directory of potential ID research and career faculty mentors. (4) Identifying opportunities for ID clinical experiences & medical education. We are an interdisciplinary interest group with RCO status designed for students across various schools (SOM, SOP, SON, SOD, PT). MED170.59—“Bugs & Drugs”: An Introduction to Infectious Disease is hosted by the “Bugs, Drugs, & Beyond” Infectious Disease Interest Group (IDIG). We have procured a variety of interesting and informative lectures to be delivered by experts in infectious diseases. Students from all UCSF schools (SOM, SOP, SON, SOD, PT) are welcome to register for credit.
