This is an educational retreat on healing-centered, trauma-informed care (TIC) for health professions students at UCSF put on by Students for the Prevention of Violence. The goal of the retreat is to encourage students to think critically and deeply engage with their role in fostering spaces, relationships, and systems that allow for safety, autonomy and agency, humility, trust, transparency, respect and equity.

This is a required event for students enrolled in EPI 180.08 Violence Prevention and Trauma Informed Care.

Station topics include:
1. Core Concepts: The Centrality of Anti-Oppression Work in TIC
2. Mind Map: Care and Compassion in Trauma-Informed Care
3. Cope: A Systems Approach to Creating Healing Spaces in Health Care
4. Universal Education: A Non-invasive Model of Providing Knowledge
5. Trauma-Informed Physical Exams
