I don't have a lot of data, can I apply?
Yes! Even if you don't have any data, describing what you plan to do in your project can be a great poster! You can also present work on someone else's project/a joint project by asking your colleague for permission and listing all contributing authors.
How do I write an abstract?
An abstract is a brief summary of your project. There are many ways to organize your abstract, but here is an example outline: Title, Authors, Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion.
Who can apply?
WiLS is a campus group dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment to support women and underrepresented gender minorities of all orientations and ethnicities. If you identify as such, we're excited to receive your poster abstract. [All professional experience levels welcome].
Does my work need to have an immunology component to apply?
No! While the symposium these is gender equity in immunology, the WiLS sponsored poster session is open to all research areas.
I don't have funding to print a poster.
Let us know on the google form. We have some funds available to help.
