Dear Student Leaders,
Thank you for registering your student organization for the 2020-21 academic year. Student Life is here for you and dedicated to supporting you and your organization as we all navigate this unprecedented year.
Students, faculty, staff all play a critical role in the protecting our community. In order to keep the campus community healthy, everyone must abide by the state and county public health orders as well as university and campus policies.
With your help and commitment, we can find creative ways to stay engaged and connected with each other, while doing everything we can to protect the health and well-being of our UCSF community. We admire your resilience as you continue to navigate compounding pandemics that we have never faced before. Please reach out to Student Life anytime if you have questions regarding updated funding guidelines, code of conduct, or virtual programming.
Events & Gatherings
Student organizations may not organize, sponsor, or hold any in-person gathering (meeting, event, activity, etc.) either on-campus or off-campus of two or more people. The use of social distancing and/or face coverings during a gathering or holding the gathering in an outdoor location does not make the gathering permissible.
Although all events, meetings, and interactions for student organizations may only occur virtually this year, meaningful connections are still possible. As a starting point, please read the Building Community Online resource guide. Once your virtual event is scheduled, be sure to submit an event request in the Group Portal.
Community Outreach & Health Fairs
Student organizations are encouraged to participate in virtual outreach and health education events. Volunteering at in-person outreach and health events is at the discretion of each academic program and must be approved the dean. Please check in with your school advisor for details. Organizations must follow the Community Outreach & Health Fair approval process and submit necessary forms a minimum of three weeks in advance for all outreach and health fair events (virtually and in-person).
RCO Funding Guidelines Adjustments
Temporary RCO Funding Guidelines have been released to reflect adjustments to accommodate new ways of conducting virtual meetings and programming.
Annual RCO Fair
All student organizations are invited to be featured at this year's virtual Registered Campus Organization Fair on Tuesday, October 6 from 5:30-7 p.m. The fair is a wonderful opportunity to meet and connect with potential new members for your organization. [Virtual Booth Instructions]
