  • IPhO VIP Case Competition

    Competition Purpose:

    Challenges students to design a cohesive drug development and commercialization plan for a theoretical new molecular entity to market. Provides an in-depth understanding of the role each functional area plays in a drug's lifecycle.

    Applications open August; competition runs from September to February

  • AMCP P&T Competition

    Competition Purpose:

    Provides an immersive experience in the skills necessary for effective formulary review and management. P&T Competition teams work together as if they are preparing for — and presenting to — a mock P&T Committee. Particularly useful for those interested in medical affairs & commercial/marketing.

    Timeline:

    Runs from late September to early January, most work completed during winter break.

  • ACCP Clinical Research Challenge

    Competition Purpose:

    Critically evaluate & explore applications of primary research. Consists of a qualifying exam, then three rounds where teams examine the publication, write a letter of intent, and develop a research protocol.

  • SNPhA/AstraZeneca Medical Science Liaison Simulation Competition

    Competition Purpose:

    Leverage clinical expertise to engage in a real-world Medical Science Liaison (MSL) simulation. The competition will provide a high-level overview of the exact roles and responsibilities of an MSL in the pharmaceutical industry.

    Runs April to August

  • Gilead Case Competition

    Competition Purpose:

    Develop and pitch strategic solutions to a real-world business scenario. The competition provides a unique opportunity for graduate students to collaborate with other emerging leaders, think creatively & strategically, and connect with industry professionals.

    Timeline:

    Runs August to November

    Member Count:

    3-4 students

    Open to:

    All graduate students. Strongly suggest at least 1 MBA participant present on each team.
